In the arrangement of your business insurance programme MacDonald Group recognise the importance of ensuring that our Client’s interests are protected when it really matters – in the event of a claim. The administration and progression of any significant insurance claim can be both time consuming and subject to a number of complexities. With this in mind, we have introduced MacDonald Group Loss Resolution which is a specialist extra value service which can be incorporated alongside your business insurance programme.
During the claim process, the Insurer will appoint a Loss Adjuster to act on their behalf. The resultant outcome often serves the interest of the Insurer rather than our Client. MacDonald Group Loss Resolution service provides a Loss Resolution Consultant working directly for you to ensure the best result possible in the event of any material damage or business interruption claim likely to exceed £5,000. The service is offered for an Annual Upfront Fee at a level which would save you a substantial amount against the appointment of a loss assessor to act on your behalf in the event of a claim.
Your Loss Resolution Consultant will be an expert former Loss Adjuster. The Consultant will provide you with the correct advice and practical assistance from the outset of the claim. This dedicated and proactive claims handling service will seek to identify any potential liability issues, deal with the Insurer’s representation on your behalf and negotiate the claim to a conclusion for you; to maximise the chances of a successful outcome.
Located throughout Scotland, MacDonald Group is perfectly placed to support your business.

The Supreme Court delivered its Judgement on the 15th January 2021, and has predominantly allowed the FCA’s appeal in favour of policyholders whose policy wordings formed the subject of the Test Case. Whilst some clarity has now been provided by the Judgement, it is extremely important to stress that this
